Not only do I COMPLETELY agree with the previous review, but I have more to add!!! I had just moved to the area and was vet shopping. Unfortunately I tried this guy because he was literally right around the corner. I took a new cat there to have a new cat wellness check up and that cost my over $200!!! What the...?!?! Stupid me, I took my Weimaraner there a week or so later to see if there was a physical reason for him snapping at me. My dog was absolutely terrified of the "doc" and his assistants! They had to use a muzzle, because they were poking and prodding almost abusively at the poor dog. Then they commented on his nails, which are long because he's a dog I recently pulled from his neglectful owners, and I told them I can and do do that at home, and in fact am the only one who can cut them without being bitten, that I did NOT want them to do it. Out came the muzzle again, and they held him down, and trimmed them, anyway! Then charged me an outrageous $18 for it!! These people!! OMG! Their basic exam fee is really quite reasonable, I have to say, but it seems that they make up for it by every time they so much as look at your pet, they charge you! This visit, with a look into his mouth, ears, and some manipulation to check for pain, came to a huge total of $284!!! Where did that come from?!?! That's $500 for two visits - an amount I normally don't even see for a whole year's worth of wellness visits, and I have several pets!! And yeah, he's rude, and his staff is just as rude, to a one. THEN! I paid them with check. It was a good check. Two months go by and I haven't heard from them or the bank, so I figure it's cleared without incident. Another month later they FINALLY deposit the check, and because I bought food to feed my kid, it bounced, by like $2!! They call and say they're going to call the cops, so we try to make arrangements with them, but they won't even try to work with you. I just went and paid them in cash, and they couldn't be more rude and argumentative about it. This place is sooo bad I'm not even willing to give them ONE star!! But it looks like I have to, because it's a required field. *grumble* I tell people all the time, and most tell me they already know. This guy is abusing the poor people who either don't know better, or can't get to a different vet. I just wanna scream!! AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!! Do yourself, your pet, and your bank account a favor and avoid these people like the plague!!!

I took my dog here for her last check-up and immunizations. Not only was the practice, especially in the back area where the dogs are scene, FILTHY, but Dr. Bluvas was terribly mean to my dog (a timid, small pug). He also was extremely rude to me. He kept wanting to do more to her (more money), but I told him I was quoted one fee for the visit and that is what I brought with me. This is when he became expense and insinuated that I was idiotic and didn't care for my pet.

Since then, I have been told he is involved in an animal care program where he is saying it is for charity, then charging exorbitant amounts to perform service that should be free.

This person should not be a veterinarian. He only cares about money, NOT animals. If you love your pet, avoid this butcher.
