Stay away from Mike Peters, he is a liar and crook. Trespasses on your property without your permission. Does a crappy job of roofing. Says you have a warranty and then does not honor the warranty. Total jerk from Long Island. Any good reviews are from his 'pals'. He hires young punks with no experience to do the job, leaves them and takes off. Only see him when it is time to pay him - cash that is. IRS can't track him. A real wise guy with an attitude.

Needed emergency repair on leaky roof around chimney. It was pouring rain and cold his guy came to our house on a Saturday. Totally professional...great at explaining what needed to be done!!!

Mike Peters has done work for us twice and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone! He and his crew first put a new roof on our addition in 2012. They did an excellent job! He told us that in a few years, our main roof looked like it would need to be done. He told my husband things to look for , and sure enough those things began to happen! We did not hesitate in calling him to give us an estimate and to take a look at the house. In 2014, he and his crew put a new roof on our main part of the house. And once again, he did an excellent job!
I am telling you, I would never, ever hire them again.
Just because he has one or two signs around town does not mean he is 'good' just that the people don't know how lousy his work is.....and are looking for a 'cheap' deal.

I would never recommend this company to anyone at all!! He had the personality of a rock. When the workers showed up - he was gone - they chopped and stomped on the roof to remove the ice and snow build up. Pictures fell off the wall - some breaking, spices off the rack, a photo album that I had just purchased while on vacation had the cover torn off. When my husband called him on his cell, he asked "do you want me to have them stop?" Nice attitude!! We said no, but it would have been nice to be warned!!
I intend on adding the addresses when I see his signs. Looking forward to that 'reward'.
And by the way, I never met the man until he came here to give us our first estimate! This review is for real!

05/02/15 - Mr. Peter's group came this morning. They called first to say they would be here in 30 to 45 minutes and they were right on time. The new gutter was installed in no time. It looks great! We appreciate it was completed as they had promised. It was too bad we got off to a rough start. All is good now.............. (They also took the broken gutter away).
The man is is very condescending and has a very bad attitude; had contacted him for a rain gutter job on my 2 story Gloversville home giving him all the specifics over the phone and asking to please meet me there, instead he calls back 3 days later with a quote from the wrong house but says actually he can do it for $175 more but only if he can do it promptly the next day at 8AM Saturday morning take it or leave it. Reluctantly agreeing he shows up with contract in hand but before signing I asked him what he was going to do with no fascia to attached the gutters to he then asked if I had ever installed rain gutters before which I replied yes, he then said "then good do it yourself I have a reputation to maintain" and immediately drove away. drove off.
Sounds like his pals are putting in any good comments...who else would take the time to drive around town ....to look for any of his signs.
They also broke our gutter. My husband mentioned it them first, by the way. Maybe they would have, but who can be sure. They did say they would replace it this spring. We will see.
Mike and his crew were very professional. My entire house was done in less than one day. I am very pleased and satisfied with their work.
Why don't you ask Mike Peters for his middle initial , he will not give it to you. , RUN..and tell him to take a 'hike'. .... guess he does not want a background check on himself. Spoke to Mr. Peters today. He said they will replace the gutter this weekend. He is holding to his word which reassures us that he will follow through.
Not only is he very professional, he gives free estimates, and guarantees his work for ten years, you can find him onsite either working with the crew or checking on the job,. And speaking of his crew....they are complete gentlemen , keep the property neat, and are not crude or profane! My neighbor was having her roof done by another contracting crew, and the profanities were flying left and right! That is just not acceptable! He runs a very reputable business.My goodness, just take a look around and everywhere you look, there is a Mike Peters sign! That has to say something! Looking for an excellent, reasonable, and reputable roofing contractor? Mike Peters is your man!
